The other (to me) interesting thing is that even by using a "windows On-screen keyboard" the key "0" is not responding when being clicked. Even before logging in to my admin account in the "type in password" the "0" key functions without any problems, but as soon as I log in it stops working.
If, everything is OK, you need to add the process ctfmon.exe to Windows 10 startup: Run the Registry Editor (regedit. Press the keys Win+R, enter ctfmon.exe in the Run window and press Enter. I don't have a Fn lock key or at least I don't see one.Īfter creating another Windows user account and logging in to that one, the "0" key on numpad functions normally on that account. If the process is not really started, you can run it.
And since I have this laptop (Lenovo Legion Y540) for couple of months now and is still under warranty I can just send it back for replacement.īut after poking around I found out (or I think I did ) that the problem is software related and not hardware malfunction. I didn't have time to deal with it until today and thought that maybe it's broken. All of the other keys are responding normally.
